The defender is back on a one-year, two-way contract for a reasonable price.

The Buffalo Sabres will have plenty of roster work to do in the coming days, starting with tonight’s NHL Draft, in addition to issuing qualifying offers to their restricted free agents and using buyouts if they must.

Today, the Sabres announced they are bringing back defenseman Kale Clague to a one-year, two-way contract for a reasonable $775,000.

The defenseman will provide familiar depth without necessarily putting a strain on the Sabres’ cap, having played three games last season and 33 the season before.
