1 dead after motorcycle accident on I-40

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, one person died Monday afternoon due to a mechanical malfunction while riding a motorcycle in Oklahoma City.

Authorities said a person was traveling on a motorcycle on Interstate 40 near Interstate 235 when a mechanical malfunction occurred, the OHP confirmed.

OHP confirmed that the driver was pronounced dead at the scene due to a head injury.
