For almost a year, a 13-year-old girl from Pune was raped by her father, uncle and cousin

Her uncle is accused of sexually abusing her in January 2024. A police officer claimed the uncle beat and strangled the teenager when she tried to scream and fend off his advances during the crime. The girl was also repeatedly sexually abused by her father, he said.

According to reports, her cousin is in his 20s and her father and uncle are in their 40s.

During a counseling session at school, the girl revealed everything she knew about “good touch” and “bad touch.” The police were then called, the officer said.

Three persons were taken into custody on charges of rape under the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

Investigation revealed that the accused also took Rs 1.9 million from the woman under various pretexts and returned only Rs 1.461 million. He reportedly stalked her and threatened to kill her if she did not leave her husband.

Initially, a complaint was lodged at the Pant Nagar police station in Mumbai, following which a nil category FIR was filed against the sub-inspector under several sections of the IPC, including 376 (rape), 376(2)(n) (repeated rape), 354(a) (sexual harassment), 354(d) (stalking), 506(2) (criminal intimidation) and 420 (cheating).
