Earlier this week, we featured the most memorable moments from KOCO 5’s original Storm Command. Now, with Storm Command 2, we’re better positioned to be the first to alert our viewers when storms strike.

ABBY. ALL RIGHT, DAMON. AND STAYING ON THE WEATHER, WE NOW HAVE A NEW RESOURCE TO ISSUE FIRST WARNING. THE NEW STORM COMMAND. YOU KNOW, EARLIER THIS WEEK WE SHOWED YOU THE MOST MEMORABLE MOMENTS OF THE ORIGINAL STORM COMMAND. OUR FIELD METEOROLOGIST, MICHAEL ARMSTRONG, IS LIVE WITH US NOW. AND, MICHAEL, YOU ARE HERE WITH OUR NEW AND IMPROVED STORM CHASE UNIT. I’M SO EXCITED, GUYS. THIS TRUCK IS ALREADY INCREDIBLE. WE’VE BEEN THINKING ABOUT IT. WE’VE BEEN PLANNED FOR IT, AND IT’S HERE. AND SO I’M GOING TO TELL YOU A LITTLE ABOUT IT. WE INTEGRATED SOME OF THE SAME THINGS WE HAD FROM THE OLD STORM COMMAND. NOW. THE RIGHT THING IS WE IMPROVED THAT WEATHER STATION. WE TOOK IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL. LOOK AT THE HEAT INDEX, MAN. YES, IT’S OUT HERE TODAY. 98 DEGREES. BUT THE REST OF THE TRUCK. THIS IS WHERE ALL THE MAGIC HAPPENS WHEN YOU LOOK DOWN. AND LET’S GO IN. THAT’S RIGHT. YOU GET A LOOK BEHIND THE SCENES. WE DO EVERYTHING. LOOK AT THIS. HERE’S ALL THE TECHNOLOGY IN THE TRUCK. WE CAN ACTUALLY SEE UNDER THE TRUCK. WE CAN TELL YOU WHAT THE ROADS ACTUALLY LOOK LIKE NOW. I MEAN, THIS CAMERA, THIS TRUCK HAS SO MANY DIFFERENT SOURCES. WEATHER STATION, ROOF CAMERA, OF COURSE. HERE’S THE CONTROLLER. BUT LET ME SHOW YOU ALL THE CAMERAS IN THE FRONT. RIGHT. UP THERE IS OUR DASH CAMERA. SO IF IT RAINS TOO HARD, THE SNOW COVERS THE 360 DEGREE CAMERA. WE STILL HAVE THAT AS A RESOURCE. AS WELL AS THE CAMERA POINTING DIRECTLY BACK AT ME FOR IF I NEED TO REPORT TOO. AND THEN ON TOP OF THE TRUCK. OH YES, IT IS, A 360 DEGREE CAMERA. BUT THERE’S MORE.
