Drowning in Lake Cumberland under investigation

PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Officials are investigating a drowning in Lake Cumberland.

The drowning accident occurred in the lake on Friday evening.

Crews are still in the area continuing their search efforts. All boat traffic and passersby are asked to stay away from the South Fork area of ​​the lake while dive operations continue.

The Burnside Fire Department said on Facebook that it was on scene along with the Somerset-Pulaski County Rescue Squad and the Somerset-Pulaski County Special Operations Command.

The Kentucky Department of Fish & Wildlife is leading the investigation
