Police are looking for witnesses after a woman was sexually abused

The incident occurred on Friday, June 21, at around 4:35 p.m. in Lynch Hill Valley.

A man between the ages of 17 and 21 approached the woman, sexually assaulted her and then ran away toward Littlebrook Avenue.

Officers said the suspect was wearing a black durag, a gray tracksuit, a striped top, black shoes and was carrying a cream-colored reusable bag.

Investigating officer Detective Inspector Peter Wall said: “This has been a distressing incident for the victim and we are offering him ongoing support.

“We are ensuring an increased police presence in the area, with additional uniformed patrols and a number of detectives conducting investigations.”

A similar incident also occurred in Kennedy Park on June 12. Police are conducting an intensive investigation into the two incidents, which they believe are related.
