Memorial Aquatic Park in Pasco reopens after incident on June 22

PASCO, Wash. – After a “critical incident involving a minor,” Memorial Aquatic Park in Pasco will reopen Saturday, June 22.

A press release from the City of Pasco states that due to HIPAA regulations, no further information about the incident can be released.

Following the initial closure, the City reviewed safety protocols with staff, conducted safety checks, and provided Employee Assistance Program services to employees.

“We are grateful for the Pasco community’s patience and support throughout this process,” the city said in the release. “Their trust inspires us to strive for nothing less than excellence. With the reopening of Memorial Aquatic Park, we are optimistic we can provide a safe and enjoyable environment for all of our guests. We look forward to seeing members of our community again and enjoying the recreational opportunities our facility offers.”
