3 dead, several injured in shooting at grocery store in Arkansas

(NEXSTAR) – A shooting at a grocery store in southern Arkansas left three people dead and eight others injured Friday, police said.

According to Nexstar’s KARK, the two people shot were law enforcement officers and are believed to be OK. Arkansas State Police say the suspected shooter was shot and arrested by officers.

The shooting occurred at the Mad Butcher grocery store in Fordyce, authorities said.

“My prayers are with the victims and all those affected,” Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in a statement.
