Houston police arrest two people for questioning in death of 12-year-old girl – Houston Public Media

Houston police arrested two people seen with 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray hours before her body was discovered Sunday evening in a shallow creek in north Houston.

Authorities released surveillance footage Tuesday evening of the two men seen with Nungaray the night she was strangled. Both individuals were arrested Thursday morning and are currently being questioned in this case, according to Houston police.

Detectives believe the girl slipped out of her family’s apartment around 10 p.m. Sunday, hours before her body was found in a nearby creek at 400 West Rankin Rd.
