Woman found shot in McAllen supermarket, one person in custody

McALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A woman was found dead in a supermarket parking lot today, according to McAllen police.

Lt. Joel Morales of the McAllen Police Department said the woman suffered a gunshot wound and was found in the 2300 block of Maple Ave. at 5:12 p.m.

The suspect in this case has been arrested and charges are currently pending.

The police assume that this is a murder investigation.
