Investigation underway after body found along Maple Valley Road – KIRO 7 News Seattle

MAPLE VALLEY, Wash. – King County Crime Stoppers is investigating after a body was found along a road in Maple Valley.

At 11:05 a.m. Tuesday, police were called to Maple Valley Black Diamond Road Southeast and 228th Avenue Southeast.

The body was lying on the side of the road.

The body was picked up by the King County Medical Examiners’ Office, where the cause of death and the person’s identity are being determined.

Authorities said it was too early to say how the person died.

“We recognize that this incident is troubling to the Maple Valley community, but we ask for your patience while the investigation is conducted. As soon as we can release details of the investigation, we will be sure to involve the City of Maple Valley,” a post on the City of Maple Valley’s Facebook page said.
