NC Waffle House server attacked by ‘aggressive’ customer

An early morning shift at a Waffle House in Myrtle Beach this month quickly turned into a frightening situation for employees.

Myrtle Beach Police were called to the restaurant in the 700 block of Frontage Road East around 6:30 a.m. on June 2 for a disturbance.

An officer immediately noticed that something was wrong; the restaurant was in “disarray.”

“There was a broken liquor bottle and some blood in the parking lot,” the police report says. “Then inside there were leftover food on the floor, broken salt shakers and toothpicks scattered all over the floor.”

A waiter told the investigator that a customer became “belligerent” when he was confronted about drinking alcohol in the restaurant.
