Motorcyclist seriously injured in motorway accident near Nelson

A motorcyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a head-on collision with an SUV on Highway 3A north of Nelson.

According to an RCMP press release, the accident occurred this morning (June 12) at 6:55 a.m. near Nasookin Road.

Police are investigating the incident and are asking any witnesses to contact them at 250-352-2156.

After the accident, the motorway was closed for some time, but it has now been reopened in both directions.
