Man killed in industrial accident in Middlesex County

MIDDLESEX, NJ — A man was killed in a workplace accident in Middlesex County Tuesday morning, police said.

This happened at 7:17 a.m. at Diamond Brite Metals, 333 Cedar Avenue.

Police and ambulances were called there because of an accident involving a forklift.

The deceased employee was identified as Jimmy Fernando Parrales Mora, 46, of North Plainfield.

When police arrived on the scene, he was unconscious. It was determined that a metal beam had fallen and hit Parrales Mora while he was working. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Representatives of the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) are currently conducting an investigation.
