Still no suspects in Texas shooting that left 4-year-old dead

Bexar County authorities say they have identified suspects in connection with the May 8 attack, but no arrests have been made.

SAN ANTONIO – More than a month after two masked gunmen brazenly fired dozens of shots into a home in the city’s northeast, killing a little girl and injuring her siblings and parents, police authorities have still failed to make any arrests.

Now, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) says it is putting together a special task force “from multiple units within the sheriff’s office” to investigate and arrest those responsible. When asked what that task force includes, a BCSO spokesperson told KENS 5 that it includes the agency’s intelligence and police units, technical staff specializing in cybersecurity, and the Fugitive Criminal Apprehension Unit, who are focusing their efforts on solving the case.

The home in the 3700 block of Windsor Hollow Drive was riddled with bullet holes after the attack on the evening of May 8, which Sheriff Javier Salazar called a “targeted attack.” Video shared by BCSO shows one of the shooters walking far up the driveway and opening fire with an AK-47-style weapon.

A four-year-old girl, Mary Ann Marble, was pronounced dead a few hours after the shooting. Her young parents and her seven- and eight-year-old brothers were also shot.

Meanwhile, the car the suspects presumably used to arrive and escape was found abandoned on the west side a few days later.

Salazar said the perpetrators could face capital charges once they are arrested, but the search is ongoing. BCSO told KENS 5 Monday night that suspects have been identified, but investigators need “assistance from the public” to identify the suspects.

A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to arrests in this case. BCSO said they are working to increase that reward. Anyone with information on the case is asked to call (210) 224-STOP.
