77-year-old pedestrian in Washington, DC, died after being hit by a car in a crosswalk

Washington, DC police have determined the identity of the pedestrian who was killed in a collision with a vehicle at a crosswalk in northwest Washington state Wednesday morning.

Washington, DC police have determined the identity of the pedestrian who was killed in a collision with a vehicle at a crosswalk in northwest Washington state Wednesday morning.

Patricia Bullinger, 77, of Northwest D.C., was in the crosswalk at the corner of Foxhall Road and Q Street when a vehicle waiting at a red light on Q Street turned left on a green light onto Foxhall Road and struck her at about 8:05 a.m., authorities said.

Bullinger hit her head in the collision. She died after being taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said on Friday.

“The vehicle involved in the accident remained at the scene,” officials said.
