Southeast Nebraska man dies in farm accident

A 66-year-old farmer from the Plymouth area died in a farming accident near Pickrell on Thursday.

At 10:23 a.m., Gage County officials, along with the Beatrice Fire Department and the Pickrell Fire Department, responded to a 911 call.

Eugene Bock was found trapped under a large drill. The Gage County Sheriff’s Office said it appears Bock was trying to work under part of the drill when it collapsed on him.

Bock was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is currently under investigation.
