Man stabbed to death after argument at downtown Atlanta gas station – 95.5 WSB

ATLANTA — Atlanta police say a man died downtown after an argument at a gas station left him stabbed.

Lt. Andrew Smith of the Atlanta Police Department said the assault happened around 1 a.m. at the intersection of Ted Turner Drive and Brotherton Street.

Smith said the incident itself began at a nearby gas station, where two men argued over money.

“When I arrived, they located a man who had been stabbed multiple times inside the vehicle behind me. That man was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital, where he died from his injuries. Right now we have the incident caught on camera and the alleged perpetrator is in custody at this point,” Smith said.

At this time, police continue to take witness statements and review footage of the incident.

Neither the victim nor the suspect have yet been identified.
