Person shot multiple times and killed near Allentown Park – NBC10 Philadelphia

A person died of multiple gunshot wounds near a park in Pennsylvania on Saturday, according to the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office.

Allentown police were called to a park in the 900 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive for reports of a shooting, officials said.

When police arrived at the park, they found a person with gunshot wounds, according to officers. The person was pronounced dead at around 7:17 p.m.

The person’s death was classified as homicide by the coroner.

According to the coroner, an autopsy is scheduled to be performed on Monday. The person’s identity has already been determined, but his name has not yet been released.

The Allentown Police Department, the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Homicide Unit and the County Attorney’s Office are currently conducting an investigation.
