Madonna is sued for sexual content on her Celebration Tour

Pop icon Madonna was faced with a lawsuit this week over her Celebration trip after a Southern California man filed a complaint claiming the huge stadium show he attended in LA forced him to watch sexually explicit content and caused him emotional distress.

Justen Lipeles filed a class action lawsuit, which was received on Friday by The Hollywood Reporteragainst the singer, Live Nation and other companies involved in the case Celebration Tour in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Wednesday, months after attending her March 7 concert at LA’s Kia Forum; the show is based entirely on her back catalogue and 40-year career. He accuses the pop star and the organizers involved of negligent misrepresentation, intentional infliction of emotional distress, false advertising and breach of contract.

“Pornography without warning, topless women on stage simulating sexual acts,” were some of the aspects of Madonna’s show mentioned in the lawsuit. The lawsuit also says the singer performed backing tracks during much of her performance, and Lipeles says he sweated at the KIA Forum; he became physically ill in the heat, and Madonna ordered the air conditioning to be turned off during her performance, the lawsuit says. The pop star’s tardiness on stage is also mentioned in the lawsuit.

This is not the first lawsuit against Madonna for delaying the Celebration tripWhile the career retrospective show is scheduled to start at 8:30 p.m., she has already arrived in the state at 10:30 p.m. for other performances.

“I’m sorry I’m late… no, I’m not sorry, that’s just the way I am… I’m always late,” reads the complaint Madonna told her audience during a December 17 performance.

Two men had previously filed suit over her delay, calling it “unreasonable, unfair and/or deceptive business practices.” Madonna’s team claimed it was an unforeseen technical problem that caused the delay. The pop superstar was sued in 2019 for Madame X Tour. The case was dismissed.
