MOUNTAIN HOME – Police are searching for a 58-year-old man who allegedly killed someone at a motel and stole his car to escape.

Mountain Home Police are looking for Brian M. McGehee, pictured above.

According to a press release, officers responded to the Thunderbird Motel at 910 Sunset Strip on Tuesday to check on the welfare of a missing person.

When searching the motel, officers found a “male perpetrator” dead in a room. Based on the circumstances, officers believe the cause of death was murder.

Officers then learned that McGehee had allegedly stolen the victim’s car, a gray 2010 Mazda XC9 with Idaho license plate E0688U.

Police are warning the public about a possible armed and dangerous McGehee, who they believe has ties to the greater Seattle area.

The identity of the victim is expected to be released later by the Elmore County Coroner’s Office.

If you have any information on McGehee’s whereabouts, please contact your local police department.
