DAY OF MEMORIAL:

This afternoon it will be partly cloudy, warm and humid. There is a slight chance of a brief, passing shower in the evening. Maximum temperature: 30 °C.

Tonight, any showers will quickly dissipate. Skies will be mostly clear. Low: 63.

TUESDAY TO FRIDAY:

Less humid air will move into the Mid-State on Tuesday with a light breeze from the northwest. Most of you will feel the drop in humidity by midday. It will still be warm. High: 84.

Wednesday will have a mix of clouds and sunshine. It will be a cooler day. Low: 60. High: 81.

Thursday will be exceptionally pleasant for late May. Low: 57. High: 80. In fact, temperatures will start in the low to mid 50s across much of the Midstate. In the coldest valleys near the Cumberland Plateau, temperatures may even drop into the upper 40s around sunrise on Thursday!

Some clouds return on Friday, with an increasing breeze from the east. Low: 58. High: 82.

THIS WEEKEND AND BEYOND:

With a slight warming trend emerging this weekend, isolated showers and thunderstorms will return to the central states.

On Saturday temperatures will reach 30 degrees, with isolated showers and thunderstorms. Chance of rain 40%.

Sunday will be very similar, with highs of around 27 degrees and a 30% chance of rain.

Monday will be hotter and windier, with temperatures in the 30s and alternating clouds and sunshine. Little to no rain is expected.
