HPD: Girl injured after shooting outside Houston apartment complex

HOUSTON — Several people, including a minor girl, were injured Saturday evening after a fight escalated into a shooting outside an apartment complex near the South Loop and South Freeway, police said. Houston.

It happened at a complex on Corder Street around 10:45 p.m.

Police said they received several conflicting reports, but it appears a car pulled into a parking lot and began talking with people outside the apartments when a fight broke out. That fight escalated into a shooting involving several different parties, according to HPD.

In the commotion, police said several people were injured by debris, such as glass, when gunfire hit three cars.

A car took a young girl to an area hospital where police said she had some type of abrasion injury. There is no word on his condition.

We do not yet know exactly how many people were injured or how many people opened fire.
