PLANNING FOR THE NEXT 24 HOURS: A high chance of rain warning is in place for today. Any outdoor plans will likely be severely impacted by the rain. The heaviest rain will be north and west of Dane County. Some of the storms could become more intense in the afternoon, especially in Madison and further south. Highs today will also be only 15 degrees. Rain will taper off overnight.

EXTENDED FORECAST: After today’s warning day, there is another chance of rain on Memorial Day, mainly in the afternoon, although Monday’s rain will be much less than today’s. After another chance of rain on Tuesday, midweek will remain dry. Temperatures will remain slightly below average (highs in the 60s) through Wednesday. Temperatures will warm up again next weekend, and then there could be some thunderstorms.
