1 dead in traffic accident on Michigan Road

INDIANAPOLIS – Police are investigating a crash in northwest Indianapolis that left a motorcyclist dead.

The accident occurred shortly after 6 p.m. Friday on Michigan Road, south of West 86th Street. According to IMPD, officers arrived at the scene and found that an SUV had collided with a motorcycle.

The motorcyclist was taken to hospital in critical condition but later succumbed to his injuries.

The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and is reportedly cooperating with investigators. He was not injured in the crash, police said.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
