A warning about air quality, heat and humidity

The weather pattern remains calm, hot and humid across North Texas. There will be sunshine and afternoon temperatures will rise to the upper 80s to lower 90s. The heat index could reach the mid to upper 90s by Sunday afternoon. An air quality warning (ozone action day) is also in effect for North Texas on Sunday.

The hot and humid weather will continue into the first half of next week. The next chance for showers and storms will be next Wednesday and Thursday, along with a slight drop in temperatures as a frontal boundary stalls across the region.

The outlook for Memorial Day weekend calls for above-average temperatures with many dry hours each day.
