Large police presence in north Lincoln after a person barricaded themselves in a house

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Police are trying to catch a person who barricaded himself in a north Lincoln home Friday evening.

According to Lincoln police, the accident began around 5:30 p.m. near North 9th and Harley streets.

According to a reporter at the scene, officers are screaming for someone to come out and a helicopter can be seen overhead.

Because the incident is ongoing, LPD is unable to provide further details at this time. LPD is asking people to avoid the area for now.
