District Attorney Gascón announces charges against man for sexually assaulting two women in Angeles National Forest

Eduardo Sarabia is accused of sexually assaulting two women in separate incidents on May 12 and 13

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Los Angeles County District Attorney George Gascón announced today that Eduardo Sarabia will be charged with sexually assaulting two women in a remote area of ​​the Angeles National Forest between May 12 and 13.

“As District Attorney, it is my solemn duty to seek justice for victims of violent crimes, particularly those involving sexual assault,” said District Attorney Gascón. “The horrific and violent sexual assault these two survivors suffered at the hands of the alleged suspect is deeply disturbing and incomprehensible. Our thoughts are with the victims at this extremely difficult time.

“Thank you to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department for quickly investigating and bringing this case to our office. I would like to emphasize that this is an ongoing investigation and there may be additional victims who have not yet come forward. I urge anyone affected by similar incidents to contact law enforcement and seek available resources.”

Eduardo Sarabia (DOB January 27, 1984) is charged with one count of forcible rape and one count of forcible oral copulation in case 24PSCF00272.

Sarabia is scheduled to be arraigned June 27 in Division N of the Pomona Courthouse.

On May 12, Sarabia allegedly drove a female victim to a remote area in the Angeles National Forest where he raped her.

On May 13, Sarabia allegedly drove a second woman to the same location where he sexually assaulted her.

Sarabia is being held without bail. If convicted as charged, Sarabia faces a maximum penalty of life in state prison.

The case is being investigated by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Special Victims Bureau.
