WCSO: Woman Arrested After Running Over and Dragging Her Spouse | WJHL

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) – A Gray woman has been charged with aggravated domestic violence after she allegedly ran over her spouse on Sunday.

The Washington County, Tennessee Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) reports officers responded to a reported aggravated assault in the 5900 block of Bobby Hicks Highway.


A woman, identified by police as Stephanie Letterman, 31, of Gray, allegedly hit her husband with her car, according to WCSO.

Witnesses at the scene reportedly told police they saw the victim and Letterman in an argument.

According to the news release, Letterman attempted to leave, with the victim grabbing the vehicle’s door handle. Letterman reportedly put the vehicle in reverse and began dragging the victim.

The sheriff’s office reported the victim was drugged about 10 feet away before letting go.

Letterman reportedly fled the scene and was later arrested. She was accused of serious domestic violence.

As of Tuesday, Letterman was being held at the Washington County Detention Center on a $25,000 bond. She is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
