Steve Buscemi was attacked in a random attack in New York

Steve Buscemi, the 66-year-old actor best known for his iconic roles in pulp Fiction, Fargo, The Big LebowskiHe and others were punched in the face in New York City last week, according to a new report from The New York Post. He was walking through the Kips Bay neighborhood of Manhattan when a stranger struck him unprovoked. Buscemi’s face and left eye began to swell and he went to Bellevue Hospital for treatment.

“Steve Buscemi was attacked in Mid-Town Manhattan, another victim of random violence in the city,” Buscemi’s publicist said The post. “He is doing well and appreciates everyone’s good wishes, although he is incredibly sad for everyone that this happened while he was also walking the streets of New York.” The attacker is reportedly still on the run . The NYPD released surveillance photos of a man accused of being the attacker. The pictures show him wearing a baseball cap, a blue T-shirt and black sweatpants.

“I saw he was with a woman and then through the corner of the window I saw him trip and fall backwards,” said a worker in the area who witnessed part of the attack The post. Another woman who was with them added: “He immediately got up and ran in the opposite direction. I didn’t see who hit him. I’m worried about when we close because we close at 11 and it can get scary at that time.”

One from Buscemis promenade Rich Co-star, Michael Stuhbarg, was also attacked in a random act of violence in New York City earlier this year. Someone hit him in the neck with a rock on the Upper East Side. Stay tuned for more updates on Steve Buscemi HotNewHipHop.
