Kannada TV actress Pavitra Jayaram died in a car accident in Hyderabad on Sunday, May 12. According to reports, a bus rammed her car while she was traveling with her sister Apeksha, driver Srikant and actor-husband Chandrakant.

According to reports, Jayaram was on his way to Hanakere in Mandya district of Karnataka at the time of the accident. While the actress died on the spot, others sustained serious injuries.
