16-year-old dead after shooting in Oxford Circle in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — A 16-year-old boy is dead after being shot multiple times in Philadelphia’s Oxford Circle neighborhood on Tuesday afternoon.

The shooting occurred shortly after 4 p.m. in the 1200 block of Van Kirk Street.

He was shot four times in the upper body. Police took him to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead about half an hour later.

No weapons were seized and no arrests were made.

The teenager’s name was not released.
