One person dies in an accident in the Bronx, three others are injured in Hunts Point

HUNTS POINT, Bronx (WABC) – A woman has died after a car accident in the Bronx.

First responders arrived at the scene of the accident at Manida Street and Viele Avenue in Hunts Point around 2:30 a.m. Saturday.

According to officials, three passengers in a Ford Focus are still recovering in hospital. Two of the three were seriously injured.

The driver of a BMW sedan was not injured and a passenger in that vehicle left the scene before police arrived.

It is unclear what caused the crash.
