President Biden’s cursed post that, as internet users would call it, “hasn’t aged well.”

“I want to ban assault rifles and introduce universal background checks. Trump promised the NRA he would do nothing about guns. And he means it,” the commander-in-chief wrote on the microblogging platform.

Police officers reportedly recovered an “AR-style” semi-automatic rifle at the scene in Pennsylvania. One of the most well-known weapons, the AR-15 has been at the center of many mass shootings in the United States in the past. This weapon, related to the M-16 military automatic rifle, killed 59 people in the October 2017 Las Vegas attack. It was also responsible for the shooting of five people in the November 2022 anti-LGBTQ+ attack in Colorado Springs.
