1 dead in shooting on Indianapolis’ west side

INDIANAPOLIS – One person was killed in a shooting in west Indianapolis.

The shooting occurred shortly after 5:30 p.m. in the 1200 block of Medford Avenue, near W. 16th Street and N. Tibbs Avenue. When IMPD officers arrived at the scene, they found a victim who appeared to have been shot.

The victim died at the scene.

There is currently no information about a possible suspect or motive for the shooting.
