Man arrested for raping a colleague

Delhi: A 24-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping his colleague at a hotel in Nangloi area last month, police said on Tuesday.

The suspect, identified as Arun from Baprola Vihar in Delhi, was the victim’s superior, according to police.

The incident came to light when the woman filed a rape complaint at Nangloi police station on June 9.

The victim told police that she worked under Arun’s supervision in an office in Sector 7, Rohini.

She claimed that Arun took her to a hotel in Nangloi in June and raped her, said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer) Jimmy Chiram.

Following the woman’s complaint, an FIR was filed and an investigation was initiated, Chiram added.

Arun was arrested by the police in Mangolpuri district and the investigation is ongoing. (With inputs from PTI)
