SACRAMENTO, California —

The death of a woman is under investigation after she was found with a gunshot wound in a Natomas home Monday morning.

According to Sacramento police, officers responded to a 911 call from a residence in the 3100 block of Northstead Drive around 10 a.m. After officers found the shot woman, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The homicide squad has taken over the investigation, police said.

The woman’s identity has not yet been disclosed.

There are no suspects in custody in connection with the shooting.
