Ruston man killed in car crash | KTVE

Lincoln Parish, Louisiana. (KTVE/KARD) – Just after 5 a.m. on Sunday, July 7, 2024, officers with Louisiana State Police Troop F began investigating a fatal car crash on LA 33 near Pylant Road. The crash claimed the life of 20-year-old Owen Robinson of Ruston.

Initial investigations revealed that a 2016 Ford F-150, driven by Robinson, was traveling north on LA 33. For reasons still under investigation, the Ford veered off the right side of the road and struck a tree. Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene.

The use of restraint systems is unknown. Impairment and speed are suspected factors in this accident. Routine toxicology samples were taken and will be sent for analysis. This accident remains under investigation.
