3 teenagers arrested after police search in Orchard Park

All three juveniles were issued summonses to appear in Erie County Family Court and subsequently released to a legal guardian.

ORCHARD PARK, NY – Three juveniles suspected of breaking into and stealing vehicles were arrested overnight in Orchard Park.

Two of the teens arrested Thursday were 16 years old, the other 14. The arrests were made on a report at 12:13 a.m. in Hidden Oak Court involving car break-ins, Orchard Park police said in a statement.

When police arrived at the scene, the suspects fled into wooded backyards. Some officers pursued the youths, while others set up a perimeter to search the area.

Not long after, officers responded to another report of vehicle break-ins on Ellicott Road. Two teenagers, ages 16 and 14, were found hiding behind trees after a search of the area.

A third suspect was arrested on Breezewood Drive around 1:15 a.m. Thursday.

All three teens were issued summonses to appear in Erie County Family Court and subsequently released to a legal guardian. The investigation is ongoing and police said more arrests may be made.

The Hamburg City Police Department and the Erie County Sheriff’s Department assisted with the search.
