Family dog ​​attacks and kills 6-year-old Ohio boy – WHIO TV 7 and WHIO Radio

LORAIN – A 6-year-old boy was killed this week in an attack by the family dog ​​in northern Ohio.

According to WKYC, police were called to a home on East 31st Street in Lorain on Wednesday because a child had been “attacked by a family dog.”

Officers began investigating the incident and were later informed that the boy was presumed dead due to the injuries he sustained in the attack.

The Lorain Police Detective Bureau and the Lorain County Coroner’s Office were dispatched to the scene to continue the investigation.

The police thanked the Friendship Animal Protective League for their intervention and help on site.

The Friendship Animal Protective League told WOIO in Cleveland that they took two medium-sized dogs, a pit bull mix and a German shepherd mix, which will now be euthanized. They also took six puppies from the home.
