Accident involving three vehicles on the road is being investigated

LOWER SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A three-vehicle crash during rush hour Wednesday evening on Street Road is under investigation, fire officials said.

The Feasterville Fire Department was called to an accident in front of the Acme Shopping Center shortly after 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Crews went into action to provide initial stabilization and to open a door for a driver who needed to be freed. Locomotive 1-2 was manned by a crew tonight and was on its way to the scene within a minute.

Within two minutes, Trevose Fire Company’s Station 4/84 Rescue 4 and shortly thereafter, Lower Southampton Fire Department’s Rescue 6 arrived to continue rescue efforts and remove the patient from the vehicle.

Tri-Hampton Rescue Squad Paramedic 114 treated and transported the driver, however injuries were not known at this time and the accident is currently under investigation by the Lower Southampton Police Department.

“We thank Fire Station 6 and the relief organizations for their rapid intervention, which enabled the rescue to be completed in just 7 minutes, opening a door and removing the roof,” the fire department said.

The Lower Southampton Fire Department, along with Trevose Fire Company Station 4/84, Tri-Hampton Rescue Unit and Lower Southampton Police responded to the accident.
