Police release video recording after woman was ‘sexually harassed on a bus during rush hour’



Police have launched a CCTV appeal to find a man wanted after a sexual assault on a bus during the morning rush hour.

Police released images of the wanted man after a woman in her twenties was sexually assaulted in Birmingham on Friday morning.

The incident occurred at the end of rush hour at 9am on the number 7 National Express West Midlands bus in the busy city street next to Birmingham Cathedral.

According to West Midlands Police, the man is white, has a dark, thick black beard and was wearing a black cap, a white T-shirt with colorful stripes, black trousers and sneakers at the time of the attack.

In the photo, he is also carrying a phone in his right hand and a black backpack over his left shoulder.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: “Do you know who this is? We would like to speak to him following a sexual assault that occurred on a number 7 bus in Colmore Row, Birmingham city centre, shortly after 9am on May 10.”
