Due to a police operation, State Street near the Capitol is closed

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — State Street near the State Capitol is closed this afternoon following a police operation.

Officers from the Pennsylvania Capitol Police and the Harrisburg Bureau of Police have been on site since approximately 5:30 p.m.

Police have not yet released further details about the incident, but part of the crime scene has been cordoned off with black barriers.
