MAFS star Ella slams ‘transphobic and homophobic’ trolls who questioned JJ’s sexuality

British Married at First Sight star Ella Morgan has hit back at the “transphobic and homophobic” trolls who questioned JJ Slater’s sexuality.

Ella and JJ recently returned to the experiment as a new couple after previously leaving when things didn’t work out with the original partners they were assigned.

In her Instagram story, Ella spoke about their romantic connection and criticized the trolls who were displaying “transphobic and homophobic slurs against JJ” just because he disobeyed her.

“To have a guy who just sees and accepts me for the woman I am, without caring what others say or think, is something I’ve never experienced. And to be seen and treated as Ella, as the girl I am, and not as some kind of label, is not something I’ve ever experienced,” began Ella, the first transgender contestant in the show’s history.

She continued, “I wasn’t a dirty secret or a fetish to JJ, and the fact that he wasn’t ashamed to go back in with me and was proud to be so open with me shows how incredible he is as a straight, cisgender guy.

“JJ and the rest of the male cast had never met a trans person before. To appear on a nationally televised show with a transgender woman, knowing the hatred of narrow-minded people, takes courage.”

Ella also shared a post from MAFS UK season 7 star Thomas Hartley, which read: “Anyone questioning JJ’s sexuality because he’s with Ella: First of all, you’re a fucking idiot who either has shit in your eyes or custard on your brain.

“Using transphobia or homophobia to express contempt for their situation is disgusting, ignorant and moronic.

“As a gay man, I appreciate Ella’s beauty, but she is a WOMAN, I do not find her sexually attractive. The fact that this is even being questioned or needs to be explained is just idiocy of the highest order. Open your eyes.”

“Amen!” Ella replied in her story. “I am a straight woman, not a man. JJ is a straight man who is only attracted to women, like me. So JJ is clearly not gay for being with me, because, again, I am not a man.”
