Sparks man sentenced to life in prison for child sexual abuse | News

A Sparks man convicted of sexually abusing children will spend at least 70 years in prison.

Dion Mason was found guilty by a jury of two counts of sexual battery on a child under 14 years of age and one count of indecency with a child under 14 years of age.

Prosecutors say the 13-year-old victim told her mother that Mason sexually abused her multiple times.

The deputy district judge recommended a life sentence, suggesting Mason continues to pose a danger to children in the community.
