Cypress Taekwondo instructors save woman from attempted sexual assault: HCSO

Instructors at a Taekwondo dojo in Harris County managed to stop a man who was allegedly sexually harassing a woman on Wednesday evening.

Sheriff Ed Gonzalez reported that officers were called to the Yong-In Tae Kwon Do Dojo in the area of ​​6800 Fry Road for a disturbance and upon arrival found a man pinned to the ground.

During their investigation, they learned that the instructors in the dojo had heard shouting. They went next door and saw a man attempting to sexually assault a woman.

According to Gonzalez, the men pulled the attacker back, and when he turned to attack the martial arts instructors, the instructors used their training to stop and detain the man.

The officers succeeded in obtaining charges of attempted sexual assault and deprivation of liberty on behalf of the woman, as well as charges of assault on behalf of the instructors.
