16-year-old arrested with semi-automatic pistol after shooting in West Seattle

After a shooting in West Seattle, a 16-year-old boy was arrested and police seized a firearm.

According to Seattle police, officers responded to a “report of three juveniles firing a weapon in the 10100 block of 32nd Place Southwest near an occupied residence” at 11:53 a.m. on June 10. Police said no injuries were reported.

According to police, empty cartridge cases were found near a small pond.

Two of the three suspects were found after they fled the scene, according to police. One of the three had a semi-automatic pistol and was arrested, and a second suspect was “investigated and released,” police said. The third man has not been found, police added.

Officers took the 16-year-old to juvenile detention at the Judge Patricia H. Clark Children and Family Justice Center on charges of illegal possession of a firearm, police said.

Police said the investigation was still ongoing.
