Pittsburgh-area man accused of brutally attacking and raping his 67-year-old neighbor in her home

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – An Arnold man is accused of brutally attacking and raping his 67-year-old neighbor in her home.

According to Arnold police, 28-year-old Cue Freckleton knocked on his neighbor’s front door on Taylor Avenue on Monday night. When she answered, Freckleton allegedly punched her in the face 20 times, causing her to fall to the ground.

According to the indictment, Freckleton dragged the beaten woman back to her house by her hair, strangled her, beat her in the chest and then raped her.

According to police, he told her before he left that he would be back tomorrow.

“This actor had no regard for the victim,” said Arnold Police Chief Josh Stanga.

“I am convinced with all my heart that he would have been back tomorrow,” Stanga added.

Officers caught Freckleton outside his home wearing a shirt with blood stains on it. It was later learned that the victim, who believed she was going to die during the brutal attack, had wiped the blood streaming from her face on his shirt to leave evidence for police.

“This is huge for us as investigators and officers and for the county detectives and everyone who helped. I thought it was great. I thought it was incredibly intelligent of her,” Stanga said.

Neighbors on the quiet street reacted with horror when they heard the disturbing details of what one of their own had endured.

“It’s heartbreaking. I mean, no one should have to experience this, period. Ever,” said Samantha Hewitt.

Freckleton is being held without bail in the Westmoreland County Jail.
