Woman: Woman molestation incident: 3 youths attacked in Attingal Hotel | Thiruvananthapuram News

Thiruvananthapuram: A gang attacked three youths with deadly weapons for questioning them while harassing a woman at a hotel in Attingal on Saturday night. The woman was with her friends at the hotel and the gang made some abusive remarks about her. She was questioned by her male friends and the four-member criminal gang then attacked her with deadly weapons. Police have identified one of the accused as Ramees and the manhunt for him and the three others has been intensified. Police said Ramees is an accused in several criminal cases and the identities of the others are being investigated. The youths were stabbed with a knife by the accused. They fled as soon as police reached the scene. One of the injured, Akshay, was taken to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital as his injury on his neck had aggravated. His friends Sabari and Ajith sustained minor injuries. The accused was charged under IPC sections 308 for attempt to cause wilful murder, 427 for intentional damage to property, 323 for assault, 324 for assault with a weapon, 294-b for molestation, 341 for false imprisonment and 34 for a crime involving more than one person.
