Lyons man arrested for drunk driving after traffic stop late Friday

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Lyons man following a traffic stop late Friday night. Officers stopped Terrell L. Martinez, 25, at around 11:06 p.m. for driving with an inadequate headlight.

Upon further investigation, officers determined that Martinez had been driving while intoxicated, with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or more. Martinez was charged with driving under the influence and driving with defective equipment.

Martinez was released with tickets and is scheduled to appear in Lyons City Court at a later date.
